Application period : September 14th, 2022 ~ October 24th, 2022, 10:00am

Applications by mail : Must arrive no later than October 24th, 2022

Eligibility : Female applicants must be between 5th grade of elementary school and 2nd year of high school as of September 2022 and reside in Japan.

Applicants must not be affiliated with or under contract with an entertainment production company or other performing arts organization.

Kenshuusei Kawashima Mifu and Goto Hana are big favorites to join.

Hope this audition will air on TV like the 20th Anniversary.

Announcing another audition before you even properly debut the last winner? Hmmm!? I don’t know how I feel about that.


That being said, I wouldn’t mind Mifu joining.

Maybe they want a do-over to add some KSS in & get a new batch of KSS going? I don't know what they're thinking but I do know that I was very certain Yulia was going to get added last time.

I was so sure Mifu would be added with the last audition, especially with her gaining traction from her duet with Reina. Pretty sure the Japanese community was also fairly shocked? So I hope this time Mifu gets added. If they are trying to get members to replenish the fanbase, Goto Hana being up for the Oha Girl candidacy is also a good choice.
But I don't think any from the Kenshuusei unit will be added. More likely this is the last attempt to replenish the Kenshuusei ranks? The unit is half of the Kenshuusei right now with the previous additions being two each time.

I try to keep my awareness of the Trainees rather surface level (they can leave without hardly any notice).
However, from what little I've seen Mifu seem to be a good choice if a Trainee were to be added this generation.

I saw the CM during my evening commute on the Hanzomon Line. It was pretty prominent, and in my experience Den-en-toshi Line is extremely crowded during rush hours so there's a good chance a lot of potential applicants see it. Let's hope they get a large pool of applicants to choose from.

The second round (online interviews) is complete, and only successful applicants have been sent information about the third round by mail.

The online screening took a bit longer than previous auditions when they were speeding through it. Now they took their time with this one.
