"My cuteness is about to expire!?" is a romantic comedy about Maruya Kousuke, a sales representative for a beer manufacturer, who uses his "cuteness" as his greatest weapon. Yamada Ryosuke (Hey! Say! JUMP) plays Kosuke, and Yoshine Kyoko plays Sanada Izumi , the heroine, a.k.a. "Robot Woman," who has had no romantic experience in 26 years.

Sayashi will play the role of Moriyasu Riko, the popular number one receptionist and Kosuke's girlfriend. This will be the first regular appearance in a drama series since she started her solo career.

I'm in the middle of watching this. It's a typical J-drama style light-hearted comedy romance. Riho's role isn't that large but she's a regular character and her acting is just fine, as far as these things go. You can see her briefly in this episode teaser:




Anyway, it looks like she's got a starring role coming up in a drama that's going to start airing in few days (April 1) called "Mentsuyu Hitori Meshi." It's described as a "gourmet-comedy drama about an office lady who finds it troublesome to prepare food properly and so attempts to save time by utilizing mentsuyu (soup base for noodles) in order to make delicious recipes."

Mendou Tsuyu, the protagonist of the original "Mentsuyu" manga, really does by coincidence look remarkably like a sketch of Riho herself.

Sayashi Riho stars in a new drama, Airs January 10th, 2024

Sayashi Riho, Asumi Rio, and Satoshi Hashimoto cast in the new TV Tokyo drama "Oshi wo Meshiagare"

The drama series is based on 2023 novel “Reiwa Bulgaria Yogurt” by Ayako Miyagi. Sayashi will play Yuzu Hodaishi. She became a big fan of a novel about yogurt, while she looked for a job and eventually got hired by a food company. Asumi will play Itsumi Midori. She works with Yuzu Hodaishi in the PR department for the food company. Hashimoto will play I, who is yogurt bacteria and follows Itsumi Midori.

Synopsis
While Yuzu Hodaishi (Sayashi) tried to find a decent job, she became hooked on a novel about yogurt and became a big fan of the bacteria lactobacillus bulgaricus that appeared in the novel. Meanwhile, I (Hashimoto), is a lactobacillus bulgaricus and sees Yuzu Hodaishi. I jumps out of the package of yogurt and follows her as an invisible presence. After a year of trying to find a job, Yuzu Hodaishi finally gets hired by a food company in Meiwa and gets assigned to work for the company in Osaka. Af first, she works with the supermarket staff, but she is transferred to PR department at the head office in Osaka. Her senior there is Itsumi Midori (Asumi). Yuzu Hodaishi struggles with her life in unfamiliar Osaka and also her work in the PR department. She then gets assigned to work on a magazine article for the 50th anniversary of Meiwa Yogurt.
