imo, Crazy Hearts' performance wasn't the best unit to win. They clearly voted because of Sato Masaki's popularity and not the performance. Not the best song to show off their performance either.

Chelsea Bread / ChelPan had the best performance.

Actually, I think Crazy Heart’s was the best performance indeed. All because of Maachan, her singing, facial and body expressions, and specially the way she fired the audience up were amazing!

I read reports that people that were in stage were so pumped up that it was a no-brainer, even people who don’t particularly like Maachan voted for them since the performance was impressive.

Of course her popularity could’ve helped, and it’s well known that Maachan is the best performer in the whole H!P, so it was certainly expected for her to deliver and win, but I do believe it was well deserved.

It was a breathtaking concert, lots of astounding performances, and my personal top 3 is:
1. Crazy Heart (Maachan & Saori)
2. SK two (Sakura & Sayuki)
3. Mitsuboshi Miracle (Maria, Kaede, Rikako)

I would think that Maa-chan's popularity is in part due to the fact that she can perform (sing/dance/expressions) in a lot of ways the others can't.

It'd be one thing if she was primarily a personality, which she obviously is, but that she is personality combined with talent puts her on another level.

The best way I can put it is that it'd be like if Ai-chan performed the way she did but also had a personality that attracted attention/curiousity.
