Woah, those are insane sales. Represent around a 40% increase on their total sales (38,522) for their last single, in just one day!

Surprising but at the same time not. This is an example of how actually sitting down WRITING GOOD SONGS matter. I mean I would rate any of those songs above the majority of what came out in 2017 across H!P. Teion sounds like a really classic Ai-chan era MM cut (MM '18 should sue for neglect). I Need You is more generic in terms of not sounding particularly like any group, but it's super catchy, well-produced, and the video is sweet and memorable. Shunrenka took me a bit to warm up to, yet the more I hear it the more I like it. It sounds a bit like a Broadway show tune, like one of the better numbers from the plays that H!P puts out every so often.

Also I feel like Tsubaki's management is finally going balls to the wall with letting these girls' diverse personalities shine. Risa's cool, mature vibe, Yumeno's self-confident air of curiosity and athleticism, and Mao's earnest "one time at band-camp"-iness really help to set off the more conventional H!P-idolish looks of Kikichan, Rikoriko and Saorin.

The amount of lives and handshakes also help them get a boost. They have been releasing during Hello!Con for a while and having handshake events nearly every show day, but they took advantage of their free time in late 2017 with 6 mini lives and and special live. It was perfect timing because they were nominated for Japan Record Award Best New Artist, which they eventually won.

Whoever in charge of their schedules are brilliant. Hopefully, they are rewarded with a live tour soon. It's one of the things Riko said she wanted in last night's Hello!Sta.
