Huh. These are some solid numbers for an H!P album. Usually this is total not first week. With how well the last single did and more people attending concerts, I think we really are seeing an upward shift!
Still will remain cautiously optimistic just in case this is just cuz Duu is graduating/Morito being added.

I can hear her, but the entire song is so heavily processed that I'm not sure it makes a difference.

^ Brief.. sort of very generalized summary, thing. Mainly I wanted to list out all the anime she mentioned but ended up with slightly more, though it is by no means complete or word-for-word and there's a couple of parts I couldn't quite figure out.
Spoiler: show
- She's asked when she started liking animation; Kaga got into anime in middle school (2013) after her classmates kept talking about "Kyoukai no Kanata" and she checked it out.
- She mentions liking these shows throughout the first part of the interview:
• Kyoukai no Kanata
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beyond_the_Boundary

• Haikyu!!
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haikyu!!

• Attack on Titan
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attack_on_Titan

• Uta no Prince-sama
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uta_no_Prince-sama

• Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tanaka-kun_is_Always_Listless

- Kaga likes the seiyuu Aoi Yuki (role mentioned: Diane in "Nanatsu no Taizai")
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aoi_Y%C5%ABki

- She mentions something about thinking animation can express thing that can't be done in live action/dramas, aspects of the art and character design (backgrounds, hair colors, emotive eyes). She also talks about voice actors changing their voices just based on the drawings of different facial expressions, and the final product? with everything coming together being amazing. She can't live without it anymore.

- Since she likes manga too, Kaga talks about and trades manga with Iikubo.
- Oda also likes animation and though she and Kaga don't enjoy the same genres, they talk together and share a common interest in it.
- Kaga says something about Tsubaki Factory's Onoda Saori's atmosphere seeming like that of an anime otaku? Something like that? Couldn't quite figure this out.

- Her favorite show for the Autumn 2017 anime season is "Houzuki no Reitetsu".
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hozuki%27s_Coolheadedness

- The shows she's most looking forward to in January 2018 is "IDOLiSH7". She's addicted to the mobile rhythm game and has been waiting for the show. Apparently Fukumura, Iikubo, and Kudo also like it? So expectations are high.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Idolish_7

- She's asked to talk about the album. She mentions the release gap between the 14th and 15th album, mentions that it's her first time being on an album since becoming a member, and how the album has a diverse set of songs. She talks abut her unit song specifically (Mou Gaman Dekinai wa ~Love ice cream~) and the difference between the lyrics and the rock sound of the music.

- She's asked about her goals after turning 18. She's looking forward to doing more work; she's excited that she can participate in the 2nd stage of the Countdown event at the end of December. She wants to challenge herself to do more work in 2018; she'd especially like to take on voice acting since she likes animation.

The last time they promoted an album (14th album, Sayu's last) at Ikebukuro Sunshine City, they had a bit of fun with the outfits from previous singles.

Album Promotion event

Morning Musume. '17 mini live and handshake event @ Ikebukuro Sunshine City, 12/8/17

setlist

Rehearsal : Narcissus Kamatte-chan Kyousoukyoku Dai 5ban

Fukumura says today's mini live had to be cut and will be a "very short mini live" due to time schedule conflicts (no specifics given  :?: )

1.Narcissus Kamatte-chan Kyousoukyoku Dai 5ban
MC - member introduction, album recommendations, and Kudo Graduation concert day
2.Ai no Tane (20th Anniversary ver.)
end mini live

- They only performed 2 songs and the mini live only lasted 20 minutes. Fans waited all day and big crowds gathers for this.
- a rushed handshake event held right after *whoosh*
- About 250 people were already lined up by 7am
- All album CDs were sold out by 11am. Around 900.

Seems very odd that they'd cut it short. Maybe they'll add another event to make up for it...
