The actress thing is less surprising and actually, since she's decided to do this younger rather than older, I'd guess that she's planning to try and get into TV rather than stage plays. More like a Mano than a Maasa.

10th Gen breaking up is an interesting feeling. One one hand it feels right to have the older gens not "whole" it really hammers in that they're the true seniors now in the group, but as they were such a tight nit group it's also really sad.

Sometimes I have to read these graduation announcements a couple of times for it to sink in. The sentences are comprised of perfectly ordinary words. The meanings are clear. But yet it doesn't quite register in my brain. For that first moment it might as well be "Morning Musume. '17 Kudo Haruka to genuflect as MM'17 Tall Flower"

She's my favorite in MM, but I also want her to do what she wants to do. I wonder if she has specific roles in mind. Normally they give more of a heads up than this before their grad dates, right?

The gasp I let out when I read it. I've been checking Jplop every day because I've sadly been expecting someone but been terrified of who would go before Harunan (I just knew she wouldn't do as everyone expected and go next because she's "old"). I felt like they were all happy in MM but Haruka going for acting makes sense. Fans along with half of HP girls gonna mourn... Maybe she also felt she could reliably pass the ikemen torch since we have Kaede now

This was unexpected. Would have been nice to have at least one year without any Graduations. This is a bummer either way. All the best to her with acting career. I'll still love her regardless of what she does next, as she's always been such a fun character.

Hope Maachan is still well and doesn't need to graduate anytime soon.

On a side note, whatever happened to that battle for ownership of Duu between Maachan and Daishi years ago?

My heart sunk upon seeing the thread title because it was such a surprise, but I hope that she'll be a successful actress!

She was my favorite of the 10th gen. Surprised she's the first to go. Wanted to see her eventually take over, but I guess she wants to be an actress more I respect that. I wonder if she has something in mind already lined up? I wonder if she'll stay in Up-front? It always hurts when they leave the entire company. (Hi, Meimi.)
