Yes, they're the same thing! They're called カップリング曲, c/w (coupling with) or B面 (B-side, as opposed to A-side, or the title track(s)) in Japanese. H!P tends to use c/w on the covers, although best-ofs are called カップリングコレクション (coupling collection). Hope that helps!

Info for the 2 people who may care: H!P stopped doing c/ws a few years ago when they moved to double/triple a-sides (about the same time Tsunku stopped being fully in charge, probably). Btw, the last c/ws were on ℃-ute's Tokai no Hitorigurashi / Aitte Motto Zanshin (Please, love me more! and Yuuwaku no Kyuujitsu) which was released on November 6th, 2013. Juice=Juice, Country Girls, Kobushi Factory and Tsubaki Factory have never had c/ws.

(Don't worry, I didn't know that one off the top of my head. I had to look it up, lol.)
