Suzuki Kanon has graduated from Morning Musume。'16 and Hello! Project as of 5/31

Zukki is my oshi, so I’m just… sigh. I mean for me this is like Yossi – the girl hasn’t been given much to DO lately, and she has other passions, so I understand why and I support her.

But she’s the only thing keeping me tied to MM right now. So I’ll probably drift away a bit.

This really hurts a lot...I have always been rooting for Kanon when others have put her down. Her and Sakura have my favorite personalities in this group (...such big hearts and warning smiles). It's going to be real bland without her if she was more popular maybe she could have stayed a little longer; br we have to respect her decision.

but damn..her AND Meimi at the same time ? All the feels... I remember when she came to NY and received the largest response that was one of my proudest moments as a fan

I guess she thought about it when she was out last year due to her leg injury. I'm proud that she knows what she wants to do, how to go about it, and is pursuing it. Not everyone is sure of what they really want in life and even if they do, not everyone has the guts to go for it.

I hope she will be happy and make people happy in the next step of her life. I hope she gets a wonderful graduation ceremony, worthy of all the happiness and smiles she's given to her fans during her 5 years

what the hell...

I really hope Kanon isn't graduating because of her struggle with her weight. She may have been feeling like the idol world just isn't meant for her and began looking at other career options. I'm glad she made connections through Satoyama though. It's very smart and mature of her. Too bad she can't stick around H!P as the leader of Satoyama and host events or something like that.

With Riho it was different. I think when the girls are the ace they don't feel challenged. They get all the lines and screen time and it's just too easy at some point so they want to practice dance abroad or go solo so that they can grow. Not to mention Riho was always a bit of a loner.

I also was worried about Kanon after Riho graduated because they've had a strong bond and think her graduation had some influence over Kanon's decision to leave the group.

This is sad news but it makes the new auditions easier to swallow at least.

If her goal is to be a social worker maybe she wants to be able to start college with her age cohorts in the fall? Anyway, good luck to her.

I wouldn't be surprised if she considered graduating right after Riho announced hers. I suspect Another reason Zukki is waiting to graduate or announcing it now is because of the Houston trip. She's got a very large foreign fanbase and this is basically going to turn that trip into her graduation send off. It's going to be very emotional in Houston now.
