But there are enough religious holidays in January to go around. I know this isn't complete, but it covers at least some ground XD

^ Now I'm worried, so I'll have to break secrecy. Did you get the one that I sent to you? Because USPS tracking says it was delivered over a week ago….

Asfasfgds!

It's been a hectic few weeks; I moved from my sister's house to the house I grew up in so there's probably a stack of mail there.

My sister called me to tell me I had some mail including a package but I assumed it was something I ordered off newegg. I'll go pick it up tomorrow!!

Again, I'm terrible :(

Whew, that's a relief. I tend to get a bit antsy about mail delivery, since things I've ordered have failed to arrive from time to time, even things that tracking indicated as "delivered".

Now I just hope that the present I sent you isn't crap. XD

I was going to unwrap the few presents I had at home on Thursday morning, before I went out of town to see the relatives. But when I opened the package containing my Secret Santa gift, I discovered that it contained a bunch of individually wrapped presents:

That being the case, I had to wait until after I got home to open them all:

To appeal to my linguistic side, there was a book, 101 Two-Letter Words by Stephin Merritt of the Magnetic Fields, and an Urban Dictionary word-a-day desk calendar. There were some postcards from Revolutionary Boston for my postcard collection, a triceratops eraser, and various sweet and/or spicy edibles, including an assortment of Taza Chocolate Mexicano, some of them containing chili pepper. :thumbs-up: Finally, there was a vintage Morning Musume。 binder from 2001, featuring the girls in the costumes from one of my favorite photo sessions! :w00t: (I have a poster of them in these same outfits on the wall of my living room, in fact.)

But even the binder wasn't just the binder, because it was loaded with vintage Momusu。 photos and bromides!

Image

Such an extravagant box o' presents! The binder alone would've been one of my best Christmas gifts this year! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, SHOUJO Q! :notworthy:

Glad you liked it all. I'm happy when stuff I find gets better homes. (The binder). That really was an amazing find when I was in Japan. But aside from all the Kago I removed it was kind of just hanging around for a year collecting dust. XD 2015 really was a year for decluttering for me.

2016 is going to be a purge. >_>

Yay! My present came! I'll have to take a photo of it later, but I'm happy with everything I got.

Some yarn, socks and needles.

Thank you Secret Santa.

I was also amused by the fact that I had to unwrap 5 different layers to get to the stuff XD
