Anyway, now I can't but help think of the footage of Uta's very odd expression when Satoda Mai surprised her and told her she was part of the group.
To this day I still don't know what type of expression/reaction that was. Not quite bewildered, not quite shocked, not quite, um happy!

Anyways, best of luck to her and hope she's happy with her decision.

I'd love to think that it was Uta's own doing, because she genuinely didn't want to be an idol anymore. But all of this just reeks of her parents wanting more money tbh. They probably saw how much Uta was pushed as the new face of CG, and probably thought they could get more money out of her contract than the oblig 30k a year girls seem to start with. I mean it was even her mother who submitted her application, which can be taken as her mom realizing that she's cute and has star potential (and the potential to bring in $$$). Her parents probably pulled the "oh she may have to quit then" card as a negotiation attempt, but UF wasn't budging and accepted her withdrawal. With Momo saying that Uta said she loved to perform, makes it hard for me to think she'd wanna quit (but of course, that may have just been saying things to make Momo happy, as she stated).

I am gonna miss her. Thankfully I chose right this time, and decided to stan the member that didn't quit lol. (So far anyway. I'm rooting for you Chisaki!)

What is this thread for then? Or this entire forum? Other than for people to comment and speculate? We've had goodbye comments before too when Aina left, might as well not have people making any of those now! They're just recycled send-offs anyway.
