That sounds DISTINCTLY Tsunku-funk.

Think it sounds super Tsoonk. I'd be surprised if it isn't.
I like it, it's a grower for me but his disco songs usually are. I'll end up worshipping it though.

The outfits remind me of The Peace's sailor outfits.

And, it still sounds like a Takui song to me, in some ways.
but i see what you mean that it's probably a Tsunku song.

And knowing that it's Morning Musume, Tsunku probably is still like "They're my group. I write songs. MEEEE!!!" so he probably wrote most, if not all, of these 3.

So AKB48 and Morning Musume are both releasing disco type songs. Though AKBs is more skater rink boogie woodie style and this more funk and brassy.

I don't know styles well but yeah I'm going with it. It's the summer of idol disco.

At least it's a nice change of pace from our classic old EDM stuffles.

Depends what they put in that single to make it sell. Aren't they know for putting concert tickets in their singles? Or was that another group?
