It's kinda like one of those awkward confrontations when you enter the classroom in school and there's that minute where the only people in the room are the teacher and you, but everyone else in the class hasn't arrive from their other classes yet...

And then the teacher makes you sing!!!

Except that in that scenario, the original plan would have had to have been a one-minute interaction where singing was already an expectation. This isn't an ambush serenade.

To be completely honest, to me this sounds much less awkward (and more idol-y) than the one-on-one handshake booths. Those seem like they'd be so awkward. DX

assuming they'll use the same time of booths that they do for handshakes.. they aren't super confined, there's room for a table to be between you and the member. they have an opening for the exit and the entrance (and the back where the members exit is open, too). there's staff standing just out of sight who come in to tell you when time is up, and people in line at the entrance waiting for their turn (who can probably overhear the singing depending on the volume of the girl).

it's more just clever placement of small walls to block visibility, in reality it's not all that private.

i, for one, would love to participate! i would totally have them sing something not in their discography (assuming it's an option).

I like the idea. It doesn't seem creepy to me at all. It's like a handshake event, but with singing instead of handshakes . The high five events are stranger to me tbh.
