At least "morning musume", "cute/kyutto", "beries", "juice juice", "Smileage" work in conversations, but "anjurumu" just doesn't work in English.

At least you're admitting it's all about how it comes off to you as an English language fan and nothing to do with the intrinsic worthiness of the name.

When I first heard about Morning Musume I was turned off to the group just by the name. I was like wtf is a musume, it sounds stupid and google (lycos or altavista maybe?) keeps trying to turn it into Museum. I mean, SPEED, ZONE, PUFFY and, um, Morning Moo Sue Me? ew no. So yeah, I think most people will get used to it.

Maybe Amped means that Rikako got jobbed by being placed in Angel Tears when it was obvious that she could have been the next ace for Morning Musume?

It has nothing to do with the syllables. I still say Morning Musume more than I say MoMusu and thats a hell of alot of syllables

so, kind of embarrassing... but I've been pretty busy this past week-ish... so I hadn't actually, ehm, listened to them pronounce the new name yet.

Guys, it's just "Angelum". Crisis averted. My life can go on.

People are making such a big deal about the name, which I get, but like... Everything else about the group is kind of more important than the name imo.
