Serious question. In spoken English, could one pronounce it as "Angel Mu"? Pronouncing it as Anjurumu in normal English conversation would be kind of laborious or awkward to say.

And still to this day, why do Japanese SO OFTEN swap L's and R's around. I'd swear they do it on purpose just to keep the Engrish side of Japanese culture alive.

From what I could gather from H!S:
-The tears are meant to be happy tears. So basically an angel crying tears of joy and not sadness.
-The angel invokes an image of hope. The name seems to be about having hopes and dreams, and that when you achieve them, you cry tears of joy.
-Kana wants the members of ANGERME (the angels) to work together to achieve their goals, and once they reach them, be overcome with happiness and cry.

I can see that, also, knowing Kana, it's not a surprise she'd come with such a name.

Though, I can see it as a warning too. Seems to me that they've choosen it because it also can give a sort of image for "strong", I mean, they're angels, but they're also strong and cool. Something like "Just you dare to anger me, and you will see.... "

I actually submitted S/miRage as a name. Sad they didn't go with it.

Also, if anyone doesn't like the new name/group, I guess they can always call them ANGERBE (with gerbe being French for vom lol).
