I saw Eeka as being a genki song. If the outfits were more genki the entire attitude of the song would have been different. It reminded me of the theme song to lucky star.

In the end I guess Eeka is somewhere between mature and genki, but I love it regardless.

It is neither Mature nor Genki - It's just... fun.

Which is like, almost "genki", but not there.

And in regards to this single...
The only flaw that comes with this single is the double Ii Yatsu type song.
If you have 2 of the same genre, it will either be a massive hit, or a massive flop. Since in other ones you are appealing to a larger audience, ones that like genki and ones that like... mature/sexy/whatever... but here it is only the latter...
So it will either end well, or end terribly.

Ee ka?! is a fun song, and it's very S/mileage in its execution. I hadn't listened to it before the PV came out, but I had read some reviews beforehand and I was surprised. I expected a bad rap song, not something as great and "genki". Never trust other people's comments. :grin:

Ok, I take my point back.

But when it first came out, everyone was hating on it, while I was sitting there ".____. I like it....".
Have you guys ever tried taking the instrumental, slowing it down a bit, and playing the final chorus?
