Hello! Fandom on FB. It could also be something discussed in the MM in NYC group, but whatever. I don't want to get in line too early as I'll need a good rest before the concert.

I mean, you can get there early and then rest in the line itself...

If you want freeze your ass off. This is October, not June. It's going to be cold. And the way the weather has been going lately I don't expect October to be pulling out the nice hot days any time soon. But hey, we might get lucky and get a warm day but I don't expect it. And what if it rains? You really want to be sitting out there ALL day?

They need to tell is what CD they are pushing. That would make a world of difference on when I'll be lining up.

I didn't buy the Toki Sora single on the off chance it was going to be that one.

Ten hours in line for a (slim) chance of getting a handshake ticket? I just can't see myself doing that. I've been in the goods line for four hours at a time at H!P concerts in Japan and about the same for Morning Musume。autographs at AX, and that was bad enough. I reckon I can use my time more productively while I'm in Midtown Manhattan. What I do know is that if I wait in line for ten hours and still don't get a handshake ticket, I will be in a FOUL mood and unable to enjoy the concert.

I'll be there early mainly so I can be close to the stage for the concert, since I got a GA ticket. But I don't know if I want to get there toooo early.

So you guys think getting a handshake ticket is unlikely unless you wait outside all night long? :/

Depends on how many CDs they bring to sell, you get those ignorant bulk buyers that buy like 20 CDs then maybe. It's not like this is an autograph session where they have a small window of time and it takes longer so I suspect the line will move quickly. What I would LIKE to happen is that, yu get a CD, you get a handshake ticket. You want another CD, you get back to the back of the line and we'll see about that second ticket. THAT is how they should do it, so everyone can get a shot at a handshake with the girls. But they usually aren't smart about it and someone ends up with a bag full of CDs and a lines worth of handshake tickets and everyone in the back of the line looks at them all bitter about it.

Shades of Berryz NJ is just flashing through my mind, sorry. Still bitter about how they handled all that.

Well, I would say get there early anyway bc of the stage distance (that's the main reason i want to go earlier) and at the same time, if there are still goods, I'll go buy some...
And Kyu, I know it's unfair, but if someone buys 1 copy for themselves, a 2nd copy for their friend, and the 2nd friend pays them back, I don't think it's that bad. I mean yes, it's letting the 2nd person bypass the line, but sometimes the 2nd person just can't physically make it that early and they want the handshake too, so really, it's more of "be lucky". Also, 2 cd's isn't that bad, unlike 20 cd's. (especially if they buy for themselves 20 times.)
