While I'm not surprised that Riho's is doing well, I completely expected Sayu to have the highest bid. Really surprised that Ayumi, Mizuki, and Kudo are doing better than her actually.

I suppose it isn't too surprising. This isn't really a matter of popularity (thus the prices being driven up by that), but moreso who is more likely to have richer fans lol.

And that's why she gets a third photobooks before others get their first

Actually it's a bid, so even if you are rich, you'll spend the minimum possible. If I can pay 10 bucks for it, I'll pay that and not 1000 outright (even if I can)
So being the highest bids could be, you have the MOST rich fans, or your fanbase is BIG enough that there is the possibility of having more rich fans, or there's so many people fighting for it that it has more bids.

So I guess, it is related to popularity (among other factors, the product itself, how many rich fans they have, etc)

Sayu is arguably most popular though maybe she does have the largest fan base, but it's all comprised of poor high school girls instead of old businessmen
