I loved the DVD content. How could you not liked the new version of Tokkaiko Junjou with Maimai's dance intro? It was so awesome. The content on the DVD was totally worth the $50 ((even though I watched it only once on my DVD player lol)) Some of the new songs were cute and cool, but it was good and saved me buying the older stuff.
I listen to the latest best album and all the tracks in this single every day on the bus. Adam & Eve is probably one of my favorite C-ute songs ever now, and the other songs are great.
I was around when C-ute formed, but I didn't like them until maybe Bye Bye Bye. I especially didn't care for Tokaikko Junjou up until FOREVER LOVE when they were released. Even when I started liking them, I liked Berryz more until more recently. I love C-ute's older songs now though, and I love all the members. Right now I even like them more than MM, but the groups are quite different so I like them both for what they are.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe this is the highest first week for any non-MM H!P artist since 2003.
But I can't help but wish they had outsold Watanabe. Mayuyu is well-known even among people who don't follow Jpop at all. It would've been much bigger news if they had beaten her.
^ Starra, this is reminding me of some anime that I can never remember the name of (it's one of the ones where the lead main character pisses off a girl in the first five minutes and then winds up engaged to her by the end of the first episode) where the lead character is described by one of his friends as: "You only like idols before they are widely known so that if they do become popular you can then feel that you were essential to their success".
