I was watching Twice's new show Private Life


when at 36:03 I suddenly hear a familiar song

Not sure if this counts, but came across this when flicking through YouTube.

During this comedy womens wrestling (WAVE) match, one of the girls starts singing Love Machine for a moment.

Also while I'm here, anybody know what song the other woman is singing just a little earlier at the 1m mark?
I know I know the song, but it's not coming to me, and it's just bugging me.

Not technically H!P, but close enough.

In April, I was in Japan and went to the Super Potato in Ikebukuro, the retro game store. I saw 3 girls in yellow/blue outfits.

(This is my photo, as I was waiting in line to buy something.)

At first, I thought they were maybe store clerks, walking around the store. Then when I went to the counter, I saw them interviewing store clerk, with pro style cameras. Never got a good look at all their faces (I didn't want to just keep staring), and had no idea who the girls were, and had no way of finding out.

Anyway, yesterday I came across a pic from a show called Game Maniax with girls with the same outfits, and Marin Miyazawa (LoVendoR) was one of them. Finally with something to go by, I eventually found the episode of the show that was being filmed, and Marin was one of the girls I saw.

The girl in the back of my photo is Marin.


This is the video, and that segment at Super Potato starts at about 2m48s.


I can't help but wonder what I would have done if I'd recognized her then.


On this day, after I left Super Potato, I went to the ANGERME CD release event at Sunshine City. Was a good day.

Frankly, I'm surprised the show is still going and she's still doing it. Good for her.

She's still in the newest ep (19/08/03), so I wonder if she'll continue with it.

The episode with Super Potato was from 19/05/25 (recorded on 19/04/11, a day after her birthday)

To think if it wasn't for the H!P/Up Front connection, I probably never would have found that video. It was still a little surreal going into a Family Mart (or was it Lawsons) a few times and hearing Tsubaki and Angerme on the radio.

^ Tokyo Shock released it on DVD in 2013 with the ridiculous title Ring of Curse, making it one of the few H!P-related movies ever to get a legitimate DVD release in the U.S.

^ It was on again but just ended as I post this.

It's weird seeing Pacific Heaven (i.e., that first-floor café in the Up-Front building) being used as a movie location. We as fans of H!P see it used so much for everything else that it's difficult to achieve any suspension of disbelief.

So IKEA is doing this furniture theme based on vacations "Vacations in a box" and one of them is on Tokyo
