They can, but it's still pretty jarring to me to see one and think of it as being cat-sized . This isn't even one of the biggest breeds AFAIK, I just tend to picture smaller rabbits because that's what I'm used to, I guess!

The (very few) neighborhood rabbits that I've seen hopping around (looking for backyard gardens to nibble, I suppose) have all been pretty much small-cat size. At the L. A. County Fair, on the other hand, the prize-winning rabbits all seem to be one kind or another of titanic lop-ears that look sort of like full-size basset hounds. :fear:

Come to Michigan — our forecast shows snow for most of this week and into next week.

And weather like this in April isn't even that unusual for Michigan. Our worst snowstorm on record was April 6, 1886, and our worst ice storm on record was April 9, 1979. (I clearly remember the latter, despite my age at the time.)

I was scrolling through the schedule for the Bay Area Book Festival and starting to think that I wouldn't need to buy a ticket for any of the special events yet again this year, but then I saw: "Viv Albertine (The Slits) Sits Down with Greil Marcus." :o :yahoo: I enjoyed her first memoir, Clothes Clothes Clothes Music Music Music Boys Boys Boys, and I was very disappointed that she wasn't on the Slits' reunion tour back in 2006. (It does mean that I'll only be able to go to WESTPEX on Saturday, though.)

That depends on the quality of the junk - if enough of it's collectible/museum quality, the proper term is "eccentric connoisseur" (or "extremely eccentric connoisseur" or "socially dysfunctional connoisseur" or possibly "deranged connoisseur"). :mikihead:

At least stamps and postcards don't take up much space. Books, CDs, and DVDs are a little more problematic. Fortunately, the stuff I accumulate tends to be small. If I had any desire to collect furniture or cars, that would be very, very bad. (Or not, because I couldn't afford them, anyway.)

A friend of mine owns a PUFFY pachinko machine. As much as I'd love to have something like that in my collection, I would have absolutely nowhere to put it.

Maybe she just wanted to set a baseline for establishing the character of the average Jplop member (i.e., we're all socially dysfunctional weaboos charming eccentrics). XD

Somebody just got a new official nick. :hehe:

Seriously though, isn't it weird how autocorrect has perversely increased typographical errors. I have a hypothesis about that. Normally when you mistype on a regular keyboard, there's a part of your brain that "knows" you've hit the wrong keystrokes, so it alerts you to visually inspect what you've just entered. But when you actually type the keystrokes you've intended, and your phone "corrects" them to something unintended, then that part of your brain which is monitoring your finger movements is never alerted, and thinks all is okay. So the autocorrect mistake slips past your consciousness, and onto the screen.

Anyway, because they arise from a whole other phenomenon than normal typos, I don't even think they should call them typos. Correctoes? Tiptoes?

I frequently use speech-to-text on my phone - which means even more (and more ridiculous) "corrections". XD
