It's too early in the morning -- I looked at the still shot for that clip and thought Is that Miyabi on the left, and Fukuda on the right? and my brain ground to a halt. XD

That twin Maedakini is incredible. Acchan wins that particular showdown, by about two points. :whistling:

Anyway, obviously Saki and Miyabi like to dress the same when out in public so they can both maintain plausible deniability. :hehe:
It's like being a twin, and robbing a jewelry store.
"Weren't me, y'honor, it wuz my brother!"
"Nuh-uh, wun't me neither, it was him!!"
CASE DISMISSED!*

*Technically not "dismissed" since they weren't even brought to trial. More like unable to secure an indictment, meaning they don't have enough to even set up the trial yet.

Actually if there is DNA evidence even identical twins can be told apart but is costs a *ton* of money. But this is off topic lol.

Wait -- I'm getting confused. Does that means that if Miyabi clones herself, then robs a jewelry store while wearing a striped bikini, they'll put her DNA in jail?
Or will they put the bikini's DNA in jail? XD

The money isn't the issue. The French government can afford $1 million to solve a string of rape crimes. However, tests have to be validated for use in court before they can be accepted into evidence. It's not like TV land where all kinds of weird, might work in theory, ad hoc tests get used to "prove" the guilt of suspects. The tests you're talking about have never been used in any actual legal proceeding before and as of now there is no reason to think that they will be used in this case. Which is why Elwin and Yohan might still get released unless the Police Nationale convince them to confess somehow. :punch:

The team of researchers compared 19 pairs of identical twins and found that Copy Number Variations in all the twins were distinguishable. However, the technique for distinguishing between identical twin DNA is not yet ready for the courtroom in the United States or in France. No one has presented it in a forensic case because scientific expertise is only acceptable if the technique it relies on has been tested, subjected to peer review, has a known error rate and is widely accepted in the scientific community. Thus, for now, it is likely that having a twin can be an easy way out for suspects.
