FEMM is releasing an 80s/90s Japanese cover album on October 25th.
They released an MV for their cover of wink's Sabishii Nettaigyo:

I don't like the vocal editing, but I could never dislike this song. It's always fun. It also helps that my first thought is usually W.

Here's a complete list of songs they'll be covering:
My Revolution (Watanabe Misato)
CANDY GIRL (hitomi)
Sabishii Nettaigyo (wink)
Donna Toki mo. (Makihara Noriyuki)
Sumire September Love (Ippuudou)
There will be love there -Ai no Aru Basho- (the brilliant green)
Dear Friends (PERSONZ)
Roman Hikou (Kome Kome CLUB)
Sotsugyou (not sure if this is Ozaki Yutaka or Saitou Yuki)
BELIEVE IN LOVE (LINDBERG)
SEVEN DAYS WAR (TM NETWORK)
Konya wa Boogie Back (Ozawa Kenji feat. Scha Dara Parr)
CANDY GIRL is pretty much unrecognizable. I prefer
mini's cover.

I wish they'd gone for 80s-style echo instead of autotune, but I agree - it's always a fun song!

I was just watching a DVD of Guilty of Romance (恋の罪), and I discovered this Japanese punk treasure from 1979 playing in one scene:

I knew eventually the bubble would break and I'd stop liking their main tracks as much; I should have realized "Signal" was the start of that.
I'd been looking forward to this since not a lot of girl groups are releasing right now, but it's a bit of a disappointment.
Parts of "Likey" sound a lot like altered pieces of "Signal" to me, which is it's own kind of annoying since I wasn't a big fan of "Signal" in the first place and now it makes this song feel too familiar on the first listen. Not a big fan of the video either; it's fine, but it feels lacking in comparison to previous videos. Styling is generic - I'm generally getting worn out on crop tops and high waisted shorts/tennis skirts in kpop.
