Natty from the TWICE survival show "Sixteen" is going to be a contestant on a new show called "Idol School". I think there are some others from "Sixteen" and the first season of "Produce 101" too. I will happily watch this to get my fix since I didn't care one lick about S2 Dude Ver. of PD101.

^ It's not wrong, as far as it goes, but it's not particularly insightful either. It's mostly just a review of the documentary that erilaz watched, and that was slanted to begin with. Any other details in the article obviously came from the sort of Google-research that passes for journalism these days. The writer has no real knowledge of the idol industry. Any of us could do better.

My main issue with the documentary is that it only exaggerates the problems with the industry for shock value.

"But for the fans, there's probably a sexual component." i.e., generalised statements like this.
Just because these guys choose to live like this, it doesn't mean everyone is like this.

I reckon saesang culture in Kpop is much more worse than overly supportive middle aged men. But you don't see any documentaries exploring that.

^ Apparently a few notable trainees have left companies and are participating. Three? from JYP, one from SM, one from YG, a few others; and there's literally another bi-racial contestant named Somi.

Three of the girls who didn't make it into Twice are participating so they had to have left JYP. I remember Jiwon, but I don't remember Chaeyeon. Gonna need to watch some Sixteen clips for a refresher. I was wondering why Somi didn't really seem to get put into a group or anything after IOI, I guess that's cuz all the girls left

Natty, Somi, and Jihyo's cover of "Uptown Funk" is still one of my favorites to this day, so I gotta support Natty.

^ I think I saw something about Somi doing promo for a new JYP girls audition within the last few days. Not that it means anything will happen fast enough. Now that Natty isn't there anymore, there's only one JYP girl I specifically want to see debut anyway (Mashiro).
