Y'all, I just got obsessed with Seiko Oomori. Diving through her discography now and I'm LOVING it. Her cover of I&YOU&I&YOU&I is just the most precious.

Seiko Oomori is awesome, and definitely worth an obsession!


And speaking of going around the bend, I think I've found my new favorite more-underground-than-underground idol group: 小牧戦国少女隊 (Komaki Sengoku Shōjo-tai). They seem to be the official idol group of the city of Komaki (a suburb of Nagoya), which means, I gather, that they're a Rec Department thing (which means in turn that they perform at street fairs, weekend art shows, and neighborhood swap meets or whatever). But they're actually remarkably good for a small-city Rec Department group, and I like their material. Or maybe I finally have gone insane.

Here's their Xmas gig, at some kind of small-scale parking-lot festival -- there's at least one other clip of them performing in parking spaces 56 and 57, so I guess that spot is kind of home turf for them...

Gallant x Tablo x Eric Nam - Cave Me In

So I, uh, rather like the Sashining Musume。song . It's pretty generic but I don't mind that at all. It's a fun song and Sasshi got what she wanted. I'm sure we won't have anything to do with *48 again so I wouldn't be worried about it.

I've never been a huge fan of the AKB style song, and this is no different. It's aight though.

I mean, it's nothing special, don't get me wrong. But I don't mind this type of song at all and I thought it was done well. People were making it sound like it was terrible though, lol.

It's also an album song so that makes it that much more generic in some ways. Maybe if it had been a single it would've had more production value...
