I'm neutral on Tokyo for these two reasons:
1) It gets stuck in my head sometimes, but...
2) At the same time, it's underwhelming and does nothing for me!

Nearing the quarter mark of the year, here's my ranking as far as singles. I put the single I liked the best at the top and then in that the songs. (I'm not counting Tsubaki Factory because they aren't even worth mentioning yet.)

Country Girl Thoughts : I love, love, love this single. I think it's my favortie in the past few years. I've got no complants about it. It's all flawless.

MM'16 Thoughts : I like all the songs, but I have a feeling over time The Vision will probably disappear into the abyss of time. Tokyo to Iu Katasumi gives me serious Sound Horizon vibes. I like that. Utakata Saturday Night was literally the first song in a LONG time I patiently waited to hear and see the MV for since I became a fan 10+ years ago. At least now I didn't need to wait months for the PV to be released.

C-ute Thoughts : A solid single and much better than their last, but Naze Hito wa Arasoun Darou just didn't wow me. I felt a disconnect with the song that just kind of bugs me.

Kobushi Factory Thoughts : Solid group, solid songs but not enough to disrupt C-ute. Summer Wind and Jinsei wa STEP were just all around better songs.

ANGERME and Juice=Juice are more tied for last place.

Both singles failed to deliver for me and that makes me very sad because I love both groups. ANGERME is in big trouble with me as it is. With Meimi leaving and Kanon gone, I have no fall back for the group to oshi. I'm hoping Kana, Rikako and Murotan step it up, they really are my only hope. Juice=Juice, while an amazing group, fall into the C-ute space. I think they are AMAZING performers, but their songs just don't hook me, ever. Same thing happened with Berryz/C-ute. Loved Berryz songs but I didn't like their members. Loved C-ute's members but I hated their songs. I just can't win! xD

It's been a month and things clearly haven't gotten better on the Musume or Angerme front. Total chaos. It's like, with Zukki gone there's no buffer and the girls just kind of go where they want.

In Angerme, same thing. Just girls I find mildly interesting and go where they want depending on my mood.

The other groups are in more solid footing. Especially Country Girls. But the newer the girl, the more likely she may move. Funaki being a prime example. I think the summer H!P concert will be a great help in deciding the fates of a lot of my unknowns.
