I was of this opinion when I saw it live and I'm still of this opinion rewatching it again. Tsubaki hold their own with Kobushi during Rock Erotic and I thought they did Heroine quite well. I don't see Tsubaki as weak as a lot of other people tend to and it confuses me. Their first performance ever was shakey but now? *shrugs* they seem fine and on track to me. They have an obviously different direction than Kobushi though. Kobushi's direction packs a much bigger punch and that combined with having all the well known girls in it...

Yeah, I just got done watching the Challenger concert on Blu-ray and they performed absolutely fine, both their own original song and covers.
They fit in perfectly with the other H!P groups.

Tsubaki needed some training, which is probably why they didn't debut so fast. A few months back they weren't very good, but I mean... are we surprised they got it and got a helluva lot better? Cuz we shouldn't be that surprised. If fans saw it then the company certainly did.

Yeah, they are a helluva lot better now. I wasn't expecting anything less.

It doesn't help better that their outfits look cut-rate next to Kobushi, but there's definitely still a polish/professionalism gap between Tsubaki and Kobushi. Kobushi's facial expressions and eye movements are much more on point and directly engaging the audience. Tsubaki's still lacking confidence in that area. But in terms of singing/dancing, they're fine. The Tsubaki version of Hiroin ni narou ka is better to my ears than the Berryz version.

Wow, that's an awesome performance! I think Niinuma did wonderful on the final Hiroin solo <3

But, you know, watching this, I was happy and thought, "H!P's future is in good hands with these two groups if they ever pull a Berikyuu (long tenure) and become the most senior members".

Technically this video is "a few months back" lol as this concert would have been late August. What's interesting to me is this performance was one their first performance pieces. Sure it was the end of the tour so we'd hope that they'd have it by now, but to me it's still pretty impressive considering that. It's been almost 4 months since then and I'm sure they're doing quite well at this point. Winter Con they'll have been around for around 9 months so close to where Kobushi was at the Summer Con, so that will be interesting to watch.
