I finally figured it out!!!!! Miki's english sounds like my TA from last semester's english! Almost but not quite 100% native-sounding lol

I didn't know Duu plays trumpet *^*
That trio was pretty cool, lol. Though tbh, since my father plays brass instruments, it was kinda hard to be impressed bc they were faaaaar from "professional", but obviously for the level they were playing, it was effing AMAZING <3

I call it the "Uncanny Valley" of language, where it's good but not good enough so it's unsettling to the ear. I've always wondered if it was really a thing, because Miki is hanging in that valley pretty hardcore. I think that's why people hate her English speaking voice and accent - because it passable but it's.. uncomfortable to listen to.
