I can't help but feel like it's somewhat unfair that no Kobushi members made it but 3/4 of the girls in idol-limbo did.

From what I can gather with limited understanding, it was meant to be a joke. They blurred the girls' faces to protect their privacy since the video was taken not during work hour.

They also jokingly place the black ballot box which has no win nor lose tickets in them, asking all the girls to give reactions as if everyone wins, and then to discuss among themselves later on who gets to perform in solo and groups.

It just wasn't as funny of a joke. And having Ayaka take lead - while understandable - wasn't as funny (though not withouth it's humor) as having some random tiny trainee jokingly boss them around.
