I just hope that's all there is to it and that nothing worse happened behind the scenes... It sounds like they may just not have been compatible or whatever have you, which does indeed happen. And that's okay.

My first marriage lasted about this long. Sometimes you find out you're not compatible when it's too late haha.

She deleted all blog entries and photos related to her marriage. That’s more heartbreaking than the actual divorce.

Yahoo news cites (probably speculation) various differences in lifestyle as main reasons. Gaki-san is a workaholic, brings in more income and comes from a wealthy family while her ex-husband is not. They also mentioned that her husband main reason for the mariage was that he just wanted to get marriage and now that goal has been met.

Totally. It happens! And it's better to get out of it early once you realise it rather than sitting around in an unhappy marriage. Sometimes neither party did anything wrong as such, they just didn't work out together.
