If Sayu is opting into a return to the spotlight I'm hoping that UF does it in a smart way e.g. media blitz, immediate sponsorships/campaign spokeswoman, etc.

It's not often UF has a golden goose but Sayu seems to be that even with being out of the spotlight for close to two years.

P.s. Ai-chan posted a screenshot of Sayu's blog and said "Sayu Okaeri (Welcome Back/Home Sayu)". This plus the UUG girl saying it seems to imply that this is definitely a premeditated comeback and that UF isn't doing anything to prevent their other girls from talking about it...

There's a part of me that worries that Sayu might end up with (Goto) Maki-syndrome. EG opt out of showbiz for a bit, realize it's the only life experience she has so opt back in, and out, and in again.

It's due to the fact that it really is Sayu's only experience but I hope she doesn't meander in between and become an odd C-list ish celebrity. She deserves better than that whether she's in front of the camera or not. I really do think Sayu might have the brains and the chops to maneuver the entertainment industry behind the scenes but that's for her to decide/determine.

Maki has an excuse though. Her brother. He caused so much drama that she basically had no other choice but to lay low and then her mother died so tragically. Her life allows her the option to do that. Sayumi has a totally different lifestyle than Maki had.
