She killed it though. I suppose Morning Musume gets more points but there are more of them but that was undeniable fantastic and entertaining.

She's only 14 (nearly 15). She's pretty damn amazing for her age.

Yeah she does have a great voice, I'm not saying she doesn't. But it was hardly an ~amazing~ performance. It was good and she'd outsing some MM members for sure, but really? The performance was... not that impressive. She did good though, it was obviously not bad. Just not OMFG AMAZING worthy as far as I'm concerned.

Shabondama's a pretty hard song to sing, though. Especially solo...

If someone would say "Meimi singing Shabondama." that perf is what I would expect, and a bit more attitude and emotional involvement in the song. She's a good actor, and normally a good performer but that lacked in every other aspect aside from the singing. That she would pull it off goes without saying, because she IS that good. For being an idol? Yes AMAZING. But we already know what level Meimi is at and for being Meimi? Definitely expected a better performance. Again, not BAD. Just average by Meimi-standards.

ngl, Meimi at some parts is just shouting especially when her voice gives out.
