Not really, not with that base. Rock may some times have a little synth but that synth in Limited Addiction was straight out of the 70-80s R&B/Soul/Disco scene. Rock always has more bite and much more rhythm guitar.

S/mileage is barely interesting with her there. It'll be a complete snooze with her gone. I wouldn't mind seeing her solo.

Meimi plays well off others, but soloists need to be able to bring a party with no one around and be able to hold it together without it turning uncomfortable. As much as I love Meimi, I don't think she, or anyone in H!P right now could do that.

Listen to S/mileage's 2nd gen radio show. She usually cohosts with Rina, which means she basically always brings it herself (no offense intended to Rina).
She's freaking hilarious on that show.

Slight tangent, but I'm convinced she could be a great seiyuu.
Better than Koharu ever was (Koharu only ever had to do one role though). Meimi can actually do (different) voices.

I hope voicing Tirara for that Dino Exhibition might lead to something in that sector.
Not getting my hopes up but It would be really cool.

Meimi IS good. But being good hosting a radio show, doesn't mean she'd be able to pull off what Kikkawa Yuu does. Carry herself on TV shows, perform solo and own the stage (barely Kikka does this so far). In addition to that there's just the whole thing about that, this is 2013. Not 1982. Solo idols don't sell today.

I do hope she gets to do acting in one way or another though, she's great.
