No i love her voice but in that second video it was very strained and there really isn't denying that. Its really hard to get it perfect every time, especially when doing theater

Woah 2nd Gen S/mileage's first musical.

Meimi rocks it. Totally hope she goes for her Takarazuka dream, although i think she might end up training as an otoko.

...joining Takarazuka? In that case she should quit S/mileage right away and audition for Takarazuka all the way through high school because she has to.
And she probably wouldn't even get in. (More likely to fail than get accepted after all.)

However, I do hope they push her for acting. I think she'd be really good.

^

she's mentioned it before for a Pocket Morning question http://www.hello-online.org/index.php?a ... topic=1830

I want to enter the Takarazuka Revue!!
(Nailist, speed reading, braille, sign language lecturer, aroma therapy, yoga)
I think I can gain qualifications for the things in the () while being an idol as well,
and I'm working hard at sign language now too!

I have no idea how the auditions work though.

^ Only girls between 15-18 are allowed to apply for the audition, there's a height qualification, and only approx. 50 girls make it each year.

Then they're entered into the academy, where you live in a dorm (unless your family lives close by) for two years, aren't allowed to date, have a curfew of 10 P.M., and you have classes every day in a ton of different kinds of dance, musical history, theater history, and your regular school classes/lessons. After your training is finished, your first performance is a traditional line dance that you have to learn for 6 hours a day for over a month.

People think idol rules are strict, but Takarazuka is probably way more strict - and on a bigger scale.

Another thing, is that she doesn't have that kinda weird (androgynous?) look that Takarazuka seem to have. At least the ones I see.

...yes because all of Takarazuka is only filled with people who play guys.
The women that play girls in plays look just about as feminine as your average idol, if not more.
