Hamasaki started releasing blu-ray concerts since 2011 and her recent album also had +blu-ray edition; and I think some of avex artists started releasing blu-rays even earlier than Ayu (maybe Namie?)
first H!P release was in 2010, it were H!P winter concerts (at least it's listed like that on CDJapan)

there was quite a few album+blu-rays released this year, it'll probably become the norm for most artists next year. i've never seen a single+blu-ray though.
