Tsunku didn't say anything about demoting them to kenshuusei. But he said that the kenshuusei will be a part of the tour this time so that they will have a bit of a "rivalry" between them. Also he's giving all of the girls some things to work on. When it comes to Kana she has problems with rhythm and pitch, but also Tsunku things that she should work on being more sexy and try to be attractive. The reason she cries is because she's frustrated about that she's the only one who has problems with the basics like rhythm and pitch.

I have a feeling we'll get several videos of all girls where they talk about whatever Tsunku said about them.

While I agree there has been a decrease on S/mileage song quality, the last single was pretty good and had that old smileagey feel to it.

Problem is, the new girls.
I had to say it, sorry.

I know this will upset many fans, but they just aren't working. Sakichi and Yuukarin were just much more appealing, cute, talented, etc. Their shoes are just too big to fill (Specially Yuuka, since she was immensely popular and her looks were just perfect.) and it seems like it's an impossible mission for almost any girl.

And most of all, there was this chemistry between the four original members that is lost now. You could instantly tell that on TV shows, lives and such. Now it feels disjointed and not even Kanyon and Dawa are interacting that great.

Takechan is the most talented out of the new members, but her singing is still lacking and she doesn't have that s/mileage feel, she's more of a tomboy, so it's hard to look at her as a typical s/mileage cute girl.
I think Kana may get demoted (if that ever happens), sad, because I like her. But I must admit she just doesn't cut it. Rina also isn't working very well but is better than kanana.
Meimei is fine I think, maybe she just needs to improve her legs, she's too skinny, but it seems like she's somewhat popular.


A 3rd gen may come soon, let's be on the lookout (or even a new egg-based unit? )

Sorry to say it but I think your right on the mark. The girls just don't mesh together well. It's not the girls it's the chemistry between them... It's off. It's unlike the new Morning Musume members who have amazing chemistry together.
