That's so true. I always prefer it when my dinner companion enjoys her food and drink. In fact, many Japanese women are kind of annoying in that whenever they go out to eat, they just pick gingerly at their food and I feel like a ravenous wolf in comparison.

still haven't watched the clip, but i'd also like to add that when i'm in a situation where i'm feeling shy/awkward and don't know what to say, if there's food/drink in front of me that stuff gets scarfed down faster than usual. gives you something to do, kinda like a form of fidgeting.

Which is one reason why I don't like the Momochi character herself. She's deliberately constructed to elicit contempt -- as resop would say, a heel -- and that makes my skin crawl.

Momoko's idol image is not just one of a "heel", but a "chicken poop heel", someone who acts and talks like a big shot but cannot back it up and gets her butt handed to her because of it.

Both Sayumi and Reina have heel aspects to to their character, but both are perceived as having substance.

[MOD EDIT] Risako was eating and enjoying the food they presented her, nothing wrong with that. Even if she is not a stick she is not overweight, so why she should restrict herself?
