Tsumetai's instrumentals are cool, mature, feels somehow reflective and...sexy. Instant favorite jam.
Endless Sky is like that moment you choose hope over fear and the release after. That's the s*** too.
Love it Tsunku! Thank you for being a genius.

Am I the only one that thinks they're mediocre?

It isn't my cup of tea tbh

Everything is mediocre when listening to a concert rip. It lacks the true instrumental backing to really pull it together. You're just getting the raw vocals and as awesome as Morning Zmusume is live, they aren't miracle workers.
Of the two songs I like Endless Sky best. It's got a nice singable chorus.
The other song it's great but the instrumental electro pop buzzes ( I have no idea what they are called) really kill it for me.

Estrea over at H!O Translated the lyrics of both songs, and they are really touching.
Tsumetai Kaze to Kataomoi (originally written as a Riho solo, modified into a group song)

Endless Sky:

Tsumetai is nothing all too special but Endless Sky is really nice to me for some reason. Both songs are actually more Golden era like if anything. Really mediocre single for their 60th

if anything

I love Endless Sky!!!

Riho's first line is godly ;______;
Tsumetai's melody in the chorus kinda reminds me of Sexy Night.

About performing it solo, I actually meant as her solo during her graduation concert/the countdown live.
I have a strong feeling ENDLESS SKY is going to be the one that I like the most after I hear it with a clear instrumental.
And while neither of them pack a huge punch, both of the songs feel so... high quality, you know? They're both good songs.
Lyricwise, I kind of wonder if Tsunku actually wrote two solo graduation songs because maybe he feels almost torn about how to describe what she must be feeling now. Or if it was always meant to be Riho's Mikaeri Bijin, then maybe Tsumetai is how Tsunku feels Riho feels about her graduation, while ENDLESS SKY is how he thinks other people view Riho's graduation.
Edit: Listened a few more times with headphones and I still can't get over the quality of these songs. Tsumetai is actually the one I'm falling in love with. I noticed Riho's chorus goes through the entire song, loud enough that we can clearly hear it. In fact so loud I've been debating if she was doing it live the entire time. Either way it really makes it feel like all the girls are singing with Riho, or the memory of Riho, the entire time.
Editedit: If it is done live it might be split with Sakura during Riho's solos, but it sooounds like Riho to me.. hopefully we'll see the performance soon, I'm excited for the dance.

Endless Sky is 800x my jam. Exactly the kind of song I love to hear come out of Jpop (I.E. Namie Amuro's Contrials)
Both songs are beautiful though, I really like them. I think I'll like them WAY more after the radio rip of course, but the melodies are top notch.
