8. Doki! Kouiu no ga Koi na no? (Eri~na Canary Club)

Wow they really dug deep for that Canary Club cut. I didn't know it was a popular tune in the Rhythm Heaven game series by Nintendo, and was even covered in different languages.

Kinda wish the camera operator had a zoom button, feels like the stage could've taken up more of the frame although I guess looking at the backs of the audience's heads can be a vibe. But beggars can't be choosy I suppose.

Fukumura a few years ago, ahead of the trend (to the point that they had to tell/remind the audience of the proper fan chants).

I always kinda enjoyed that in the actual game, the chanting monkeys are, well,, monkeys lol.

Wasn't totally sure where to put this, but Miura Yoshiko (74) passed away on November 6th due to pneumonia.

Miura wrote several songs for Hello! Project:

She most recently wrote the lyrics for Plastic Generation by Sato Masaki.

Nakano Sun Plaza to close on July 2nd, 2023; Plans to have a "Commemorative Concert" and "Retrospective Exhibition" also being considered

The Nakano Sun Plaza complex in front of JR Nakano Station (Nakano Ward, Tokyo) will close on July 2, 2023, according to data from the Nakano Ward Council. The reason for the closure is the rebuilding of the building as part of a redevelopment project. The city will consider holding a "closing commemorative concert" and a "Nakano Sun Plaza retrospective exhibition" in conjunction with the closure of the building.

A New facility to be completed in 2028

Nakano Sun Plaza opened in June 1973. The distinctive white triangular-shaped building houses a hall with over 2,000 seats, a hotel, restaurants, and other facilities.

The hall has hosted concerts of a wide variety of genres, including enka, rock, and idol music, and is well known among music lovers.

In May 2021, the details of a redevelopment project by Nomura Real Estate Development Co. and others were announced, which called for demolition of the current facility and construction of a new facility with a combined hall and hotel with a maximum capacity of 7,000 people. With the goal of receiving an urban planning decision by the end of 2022 and completing construction of the facility in 2028. the current facility has been the focus of much attention.

At the meeting of the boards of directors of both the facility operator, Nakano Sunplaza Co. and the facility owner, the closure of the facility was decided for July 2nd, 2023. The company stated that operations, excluding the hall, would end at the end of June of the same year.

In closing the building, the company is considering holding a "Concert to Commemorate the Closing", a "Hall Backstage Tour", and a "Nakano Sun Plaza Retrospective Exhibition" as part of efforts to "preserve the legacy" of Nakano Sun Plaza in memory of the building. The company is also considering events for ward residents, such as tours of the facility.

Today the details of of a redevelopment plan for the area in front of Nakano Station's New North Exit, including the construction of a 7,000-capacity multipurpose hall on the site of the former Nakano Sun Plaza was officially announced.

Details of a redevelopment plan for the area in front of the new north exit of Nakano Station in Tokyo, including the site of Nakano Sun Plaza, which closed on July 2, have been announced.

The large-scale site, covering more than 2 hectares, will include a hall, offices, residences, commercial facilities, and a hotel.
Taking advantage of the characteristics of the Nakano Station area, which has nurtured a diverse range of cultures including music, subcultures, and food, the project aims to create a culture-driven city.

In this area, a multipurpose hall with a capacity of 7,000 people will be constructed, which is approximately three times the capacity of the former Nakano Sun Plaza Hall, which had a maximum capacity of 2,222 people.
It will also include a restaurant, an observation deck with an outdoor terrace offering a view of the western suburbs of Tokyo, a convention center that can be used by ward residents and businesses as a place for exchanges and meetings, and a facility that can accommodate up to 7,000 people.
A convention center that can be used as a venue for exchanges and meetings among ward residents and businesses, and an indoor playground for children that can be safely used by the child-rearing generation will also be introduced.
