Tsubaki is pretty tragic now, but I honestly think they could be something great with some more time. I hope they don't rush a major debut. They should have a challenge like S/mileage did

I'd honestly be ok if they just went back to 4 indie singles and a major debut with new songs. I really don't think the choreography for both indie singles so far has been that impressive that I'm actually surprised by this. I understand Ami is new but we've seen other newbies progress with just about the same experience who've developed much faster (e.g. Zukki). The girls have all got the choreography down but its nothing impressive at all? I think 17sai was more charming looking back rather than the bored expressions they give off now in these edm songs.

They were meant to be the lady-like group. Heck, even their greeting is lady-like. Making them the Perfume of Hello! Project doesn't seem right since their expression, dance skill and energy are not all on the same page. It always seems like Kiki and Yumeno are the only ones who nail it. But at least they have improved a bit now that Kobushi Factory debuted and they started getting slightly more attention. But yeah, I also wished UF stuck with that style for Tsubaki. I haven't seen them perform Yumemiru Fifteen, but I'm sure it'll have the same charm they had back then (minus the awkward Anmi performance.) Also, I'm like the only person here that loves the group and likes both indies song, but I can't express it as much here... :(

I feel that Tsubaki's biggest problem still is Kobushi's almost perfect start. They need time to grow into a group but will always be compared to Kobushi that came with a real group spirit straight out of the blocks.

Tragic is unfortunately the best word to describe them. Not that it doesn't make them endearing.

I feel that Tsubaki's biggest problem still is Kobushi's almost perfect start. They need time to grow into a group but will always be compared to Kobushi that came with a real group spirit straight out of the blocks.

This is probably the truest thing ever. Koboshi is Tsubaki's biggest problem... Country Girls too. They announced Tsubaki a little too early, honestly. Koboshi and CG debuted with near perfection as groups and by comparison Tsubaki looks even weaker. Just overall bad timing.

I feel like my biggest problem with Tsubaki now is their music, and the latest "Station" episode emphasized that for me. They have yet to be given an original song that has fully clicked with me, and the rap sections in the newest song give me weird semi-second hand embarassment. Even if they aren't up to the performance level or stage presence of similarly new groups, songs that I actually find interesting would go a long way. (I also find it more difficult to recognize improvement with their original songs, possibly also because I'm not super into them; it seems more obvious in videos of covers, like the Berryz one posted relatively recently.)

That's not to slight anyone that does enjoy them and find them repeatable. They just haven't hit me yet.
